About the Role

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Support manager to join us on a part time  (30 hours per week), 12 months fixed term contract basis as a Lead Administrator in Children’s Social Care to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will lead the Business Support function within Gloucestershire West, Children and Families teams. This post will be based in Shire Hall, Gloucester.  

 

The role  would be  to  lead a team of administrators to support managers across the service areas to achieve the expected and desired outcomes of service delivery through effective management and support to essential tasks and activities required.  You will work closely with the service and group managers to realise and anticipate financial budgets and undertake monitoring and tracking activities to ensure that administration performance continues to meet the business requirements.

You will also lead and undertake project work that supports the service area to evolve in line with business requirements.

 

Duties will include

Supervision with team members and completion of  Personal Development Reviews

Performance and Absence Management

Use of data to drive performance

Working within and maintaining building compliance

Quality assurance oversight to financial trackers

Provide updates and impact statements regarding administrative capacity

Provide regular communication of financial commitment to Budget Holders

 

About You

As a Lead Administrator you will work closely with the service and group managers to realise and anticipate financial budgets and undertake monitoring and tracking activities to ensure that administration performance continues to meet the business requirements, you will, therefore, need to have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate a flexible approach with an ability to manage your workload to meet deadlines.  You will have proven leadership skills and evidence of strong oversight of process and performance.
