We are an agile working organisation with a combination of office-based working and working from home (essential equipment is provided). We place a high premium on diversity and inclusion, as well as on health and wellbeing and we offer a flexible working scheme which is based on business need. About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for someone with a desire to learn and develop in administration, to complete their Level 3 qualification within the Children’s Social Care Business Support Team. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training and development opportunities throughout their apprenticeship.

The role is based in Shire Hall, supporting the Gloucestershire West Children and Families Teams. You will have an opportunity to learn about different Social Care teams and the key part that our administrators play in assisting our Social Care professionals to support vulnerable children and families in Gloucestershire.

In addition to studying for your NVQ your duties will include:-

· Dealing with telephone enquiries, taking messages and alerting Social Work staff

· Preparing documents using Microsoft Word

· Updating spreadsheets using Excel

· Booking meetings using Microsoft Teams and our internal room booking system

· Uploading documents to our bespoke database Liquid Logic (training will be provided)

· Use of a range of IT software systems

About You

We are looking for candidates who are keen to develop their skills in administration and contribute to a more innovative way of working. You must, therefore, be adaptable, have excellent communication skills and have the ability to prioritise workload. If you think that this is the role for you we look forward to hearing from you. Why are you perfect for this role and what will you bring to our team?

About Us

For all your hard work, you will receive the following;

  • Flexible and agile working opportunities
  • 25.5 days annual leave rising to 30.5 days after 5 years continuous service
  • Plus, an option to purchase 10 days of additional leave per year (pro-rata for part-time staff)
