We are looking for an Assistant Traffic Regulation Order Officer who can help us implement TROs, Traffic Orders and Statutory Notices that make a positive difference to our community. You will work with a dedicated team of professionals who are committed to improving traffic management and road safety.

 

About The Team & Role:

As an Assistant Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) Officer, you will work within the Council and Government legislation and guidelines. You will support the TRO team in delivering TROs including preparing documents and carrying out other tasks as assigned.

 

You will use the relevant legislation and standards, such as the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions (TSRGD) and the Traffic Signs Manual (TSM), to assist in TRO work. You will also undertake site visits as and when required, including the posting of notices/signs.

 

You will help in public engagement and consultation processes, and update and maintain ParkMap and Traffweb or other relevant websites or software as applicable.

 

You will collate information and provide support to other Gloucestershire County Council colleagues within the service, and assist with financial orders, invoicing requests and the recharging of fees to clients. You will keep up to date with legislation and national guidance as well as industry best practice related to TROs.

About You:

You will have excellent writing and numeracy skills with a high level of competence in using software applications in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer.

 

You will have an understanding of TROs and be enthusiastic about improving roads.

 

You should be adaptable and keen to improve your knowledge and experience in changing the highway. You will be able to learn new applications and technology that are relevant to this role.
