About The Team & Role
As an Assistant Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) Officer, you'll be at the heart of our efforts to enhance road safety and traffic flow. Working within Council and Government guidelines, you'll support the TRO team in delivering essential services.
Your tasks will include preparing documents and drawings, using legislation and standards like TSRGD and TSM, undertaking site visits and posting notices/signs, engaging with the public and participating in consultations, updating and maintaining ParkMap, Traffweb, and other relevant platforms, supporting colleagues with financial orders, invoicing, and recharging fees, staying updated with legislation and best practices, and responding to inquiries in the TRO Team’s email inboxes.
About You
We're looking for someone with excellent writing and numeracy skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer), adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies, a solid academic background with five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above (including Mathematics and English), and additional qualifications at NVQ Level 1 and 2 are a plus.
