About The Role

The Council's Highways Commercial Team has a vacancy for an Assistant Systems Support officer to contribute towards the development and operation of the systems used by GCC and its partners to enable the delivery of highway services across Gloucestershire. The post holder will be accountable for supporting the GCC Highways Commercial Team and developing knowledge in maintaining the highway maintenance and asset management systems.

 

About The Team
The Council's Highways Commercial Team supports the operation of the Term Maintenance, Professional Services, Structural Maintenance and Street Lighting contracts. We are also involved in supporting Major Projects and play a key part in systems development and continuous improvement of our Assets and Customer Management Systems.

About You
We are looking for an individual who is solution-focused, with strong admin and ICT skills and the ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced commercial environment. You must have a keen eye for detail and have experience of delivering outstanding customer service, both internally and with our partners.


In time you will act as a first point of contact for commercial or contractual queries which means you will need to communicate clearly and respond positively to new situations, with a collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn.
