Gloucestershire Equipment Loan Service (GELS) is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team at our Hempsted site in Gloucester.
This is your chance to be part of a service that truly makes a difference to people across Gloucestershire, helping them live independently and safely in their own homes.
This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

We play a vital role in supporting the residents of Gloucestershire. Our service ensures the distribution, delivery, collection, and maintenance of medical equipment helping people return home from hospital and remain independent.
We deliver this essential service on behalf of Gloucestershire County Council and One Gloucestershire, and we take pride in the positive impact we have on our community.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Administrator, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:
- Accurate data entry and monitoring across relevant systems
- Responding to queries via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions
- Supporting financial processes, including electronic procurement and accurate purchase recording for budget monitoring
- Providing general administrative support to meet the needs of the team and wider service area, using computer-based systems to ensure timely and effective service delivery
About You
We are looking for someone who thrives in an administrative environment. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of working in an office
- Customer-focused approach (internal and external)
- Good IT skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively
