About The Team & Role:
We are seeking a new member to join our busy target focussed Business Administration Support Team. We provide high quality administration support to teams within Economy, Environment & Infrastructure.
As a member of the Economy, Environment & Infrastructure Business Administration Support Team, you will provide efficient, flexible and consistent administrative support to meet the needs of a wide range of council services some of which are very high profile, confidential, diverse & challenging. If you feel you have the attributes and skills we require then we would love to hear from you.
About You:
You must be customer focussed with a professional telephone manner and excellent all round communication skills.
A ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to work under pressure and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines in a busy team environment is essential.
The successful candidate will need to be able to confidently use a range of IT based systems and databases and have experience of Microsoft Office Packages, e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook.
You will be required to undertake a wide range of administration support duties these include:-
- Monitoring and responding to enquiries via generic mailboxes.
- Processing purchase order requests
- Processing income
- Processing credit notes
- Processing invoices
- Accurately updating electronic records
- Database & spreadsheet data entry and filtering
- Diary management: arranging meetings, room bookings and catering requests
- Provide additional administration support as and when required to do so.
About Us:
The role is based at Shire Hall in Gloucester. However, at present, staff are partially working from home using GCC provided secure IT; therefore, you will need to have sufficient home broadband capabilities. You will need to attend the office for training and will be expected to work from the office on a rota basis in future, subject to the needs of the team and service.
