About the role:

 

Our team delivers the financial support functions for Adult Social Care at Gloucestershire County Council. Our role is an important part of supporting the care sector by delivering an efficient, accurate and consistent service to the people we support and their families.

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator Level 2 within our Deferred Payments Team.

 

The team is responsible for:

·         Accurately and efficiently processing Deferred Payment Agreements for people we support who pay for chargeable social care services

·         Obtaining official property valuations

·         Monitoring debts to ensure they do not exceed property valuations

·         Monitoring disregarded properties to ensure that those disregards are still valid

 

The post is based at Shire Hall in Gloucester. We offer flexible working with a mix of office and home working. There is free, off-site parking when working in the office.

 

About you:

 

You will have experience of dealing with members of the public, preferably in the social care or health sector, and an appreciation of the needs of users of social care services.

You will be highly IT literate in Microsoft packages, SharePoint and the internet, with a good working knowledge of relevant financial procedures.

You can understand complex information and calculations and are able to translate this clearly for the people you support.
