We have a full time Administrator position available in our Safeguarding Adults Team, based in Shire Hall, Gloucester.

 

The team plays an important role in protecting adults in Gloucestershire who are at risk of abuse or neglect. We co-ordinate and lead on all safeguarding concerns received by Gloucestershire County Council, working with partnership organisations.

 

 

About the role:

 

You'll support the Safeguarding Team in delivering key priorities, streamline admin processes and contribute to achieving strategic outcomes. You’ll keep everything running smoothly, ensure seamless communication across teams, and handle confidential information with care.

 

The main responsibilities include:

  • Attend and accurately record sensitive meeting minutes
  • Transfer and format Safeguarding and DoLS information using approved systems
  • Prepare and maintain confidential case files and associated documents
  • Collaborate with individuals across partner agencies/organisations to ensue clear and timely arrangements are in place for the service to respond to requests for urgent/standard Deprivation of Liberty authorisations and Safeguarding meetings
  • Assist with financial tasks, such as processing invoices and orders.
  • Develop and maintain filing, record-keeping, and archiving systems in line with corporate policies.
  • Ensure timely and consistent responses to all inquiries, following relevant procedures.

About you:

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working in a busy office environment and setting up and running effective office systems
  • Experience taking minutes of meetings
  • Relevant experience of care service or working within Local Authority
  • Excellent communication skills in person, on the phone and in writing
  • Confidence dealing with a range of queries from internal and external customers
  • Good IT skills, for example Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work flexibly across the different areas of the team to meet the service need

 

The position will suit an individual who has a positive ‘can do’ attitude, with keen eye for detail and is adaptable and innovative when faced with challenges.
