Are you organised, proactive, and enthusiastic? Do you want a role where your work truly matters? Gloucestershire Equipment Loan Service (GELS) is looking for an experienced Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team.
This is your chance to be part of a service that helps people across Gloucestershire live independently and safely in their own homes. This is a part-time position for 24 hours per week.

We play a vital role in supporting residents across Gloucestershire by ensuring the distribution, delivery, collection, and maintenance of equipment. Our work helps people return home from hospital and remain independent for longer.
We deliver this essential service on behalf of Gloucestershire County Council and One Gloucestershire, and we take pride in the positive impact we have on our community.

About the Role
As an Administrator, you will report directly to the Operations Manager and provide essential support to ensure our service runs smoothly and efficiently. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Administrative Support: Undertake a wide range of administrative duties to meet the needs of the team and wider service area, ensuring services are maintained effectively and flexibly.
- Data Management: Accurately input and monitor records and data on relevant systems, maintain filing and recording systems, and support archiving and disposal of information.
- Customer Service: Respond to queries via telephone, email, and in person, providing a high standard of customer care and always ensuring confidentiality.
- Procurement & Finance Support: Assist with financial matters including electronic procurement systems, and accurate recording of purchases for budget monitoring purposes.
- Meeting Coordination: Organise and facilitate meetings, seminars, and workshops—booking venues, sending invites, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
- Research & Reporting: Undertake research as required and assist with responding to customer enquiries and requests for data in line with corporate standards.
- Diary Management: Support diary management where appropriate.
- Flexibility: Provide administrative support across Council services when needed, offering opportunities to broaden your skills and experience.
About You
We’re looking for someone who thrives in an administrative environment and enjoys working as part of a team. Ideally, you’ll have:
- Previous office experience
- Strong customer focus (internal and external)
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively
