You will come to this role having completed your final placement as part of your degree and will be able to use your skills of analysis and effective communication to work with colleagues, securing the best outcomes for the children and young people of Gloucestershire and their families.

About our ASYE Programme
Our celebrated Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) training programme will support you to grow and develop your practice alongside experienced and established Social Workers within your team. You will be mentored and guided as you build your knowledge and skills with a protected caseload throughout your ASYE. Our Social Work Academy will provide you with protected development time to attend training and receive reflective group supervision each month facilitated by an Advanced Educator.

Next steps
When you apply, you will be invited to an assessment centre to gauge your suitability for the programme. The assessment centre is held at our Social Work Academy in Gloucester and is comprised of two elements:
- written assessment
- panel interview
You will need
- to be due to complete your studies and final placement before the end of September 2025
- to have your Practice Educator as one of your referees
- to have a full driving licence and willingness to drive for work
- a satisfactory Enhanced DBS clearance
- to obtain your Social Work England registration in time to commence the programme in October 2025
If you are successful, we can also offer you the opportunity to start earlier in a pre-qualified role whilst awaiting your degree result and registration, prior to joining the ASYE programme at the start of October 2025.
