About the Team
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Partnership (GSCP) Business Unit, supporting Gloucestershire’s safeguarding partners — the Integrated Care Board, Constabulary, and County Council — to fulfil their statutory duties under Working Together to Safeguard Children 2026.
As part of a small, specialist team, you will play a key role in providing high-quality administrative, governance, and secretariat support to ensure the smooth and effective operation of partnership processes.
This office-based role offers flexible, agile working and does not involve direct work with children or families. However, emotional resilience is important due to the nature of some partnership materials.
No prior safeguarding experience is required — full support will be provided to develop your knowledge of the GSCP and its functions.
About the role:
You will deliver effective business support to ensure deadlines are met and partnership activity runs efficiently. A strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 is essential, particularly SharePoint and Teams, as these are central to collaboration, communication, and document management within the partnership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive administrative support, including managing enquiries and support requests efficiently and effectively
- Coordinating meetings, seminars, and workshops (including booking venues, issuing invitations, preparing agendas, and using digital solutions to ensure accurate record-keeping)
- Supporting governance processes and partnership coordination through the production of high-quality documentation using Microsoft 365 applications
- Using and developing digital solutions to enhance and streamline essential partnership processes, improving efficiency and impact
- Providing guidance and support to administrative staff and/or apprentices where required
- Undertaking additional duties appropriate to the role
About You
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in business administrative support, ideally within a partnership or multi-agency environment. They will also have strong, demonstrable skills in Microsoft 365, including effective use of SharePoint and Teams to support collaboration, communication, and document management.
