We are looking for a skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our team and help turn data into meaningful insight that supports effective decision-making and improved outcomes for our services and communities in Adult Social Care (on a fixed term 12-month contract).

 

About the role

In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders, service managers, commissioners and partners, producing high‑quality analytical outputs and performance information. You will play a key role in ensuring data quality, supporting statutory reporting, and promoting the effective use of evidence across the Council.

This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical professional who is passionate about public service, continuous improvement and using data to make a real difference.

 

About you

 

You will ideally have experience of data management and analysis in a complex organisation; preparing, analysing and presenting accurate and relevant information.

You will bring knowledge of basic descriptive statistical analysis and awareness of more advanced techniques.

You will have:

  • advanced IT skills, including databases, advanced spreadsheets to include PowerQuery
  • awareness of emerging business analytics tools;
  • strong critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities;
  • project management skills;
  • experience of PowerBi or other relevant visualisation tools (desirable);
  • an understanding of Adult Social Care (desirable).
