The Crisis and Resilience Fund plays a vital role in funding and developing services that build resilience, prevent escalation of need and improve outcomes for children, young people and families across Gloucestershire. As a Commissioning Officer, you will support the effective delivery, monitoring and development of commissioned services, working closely with providers, partners and colleagues across the organisation.
You will play a key role in ensuring services are delivered effectively, represent value for money and achieve positive outcomes. This will involve supporting contract and performance management, using data and insight to inform commissioning decisions, and contributing to service reviews and continuous improvement activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the commissioning, procurement and contract management of CRF-funded and related services.
- Monitoring service performance, outcomes and quality against agreed specifications and performance indicators.
- Producing reports, dashboards and presentations for a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Building effective working relationships with service providers, partners and stakeholders.
- Supporting compliance, quality assurance, audit and governance requirements.
- Contributing to projects, service developments and continuous improvement initiatives across the Children and Families Commissioning Hub.
About You

- Experience of analysing information and using data and insight to support decision-making and performance improvement.
- Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with financial, contractual and performance information.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Teams and SharePoint.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a supportive team.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem solving.
Experience of commissioning, contract management, performance monitoring, project support, finance or working within a public sector environment would be advantageous, but we welcome applications from individuals who can demonstrate transferable skills and a willingness to learn.

For all your hard work, you will receive the following:
