About the role

Gloucestershire Hospital Education Service is looking to appoint a dynamic, efficient and motivated Administrator to join our existing support team.  The role will be based in Cheltenham County Offices to support our outreach team and those who teach in Gloucester Royal Hospital. The role involves working with our whole team, students, parents and other professionals associated with our students. 

 

Working Monday to Friday, approx.8:00am to 4:00pm for 39 weeks per annum, (term time plus In-service days) 37 hours per week.

 

The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and to develop positive relationships with the wider school community.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Welcoming, polite with a positive outlook.
  • An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Has a professional telephone manner and is confident on the phone.
  • Has excellent administrative and ICT skills.  Knowledge of SIMS would be beneficial; however, training will be provided.
  • Is able to manage and prioritise own workload.
  • Has the ability to multi-task with great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality regarding the nature of the work and act with integrity, high levels of tact and discretion.
  • Is well-organised, flexible, calm and resilient.
  • Has the ability to relate well to children and adults.
  • Works constructively as part of a team, with an understanding of school roles and responsibilities.
